I was trying to grasp the depth of his words. He is normalizing hereditary professions ( makes sense by ancient standards ) and normalizes the discrimination based on power disparity ( makes sense ) separately. But how that disparity emerged ? If it is just based on profession , what are the job descriptions of a brahmin and that of a chandal that led to economic imbalance between these two groups ? And one last thing is that having a family profession as preference is one thing, but having a taboo on a chandal to take up a brahmin's job is another. Was that choice available ?

I think he didnt answer the question asto how untouchability was originated. He spoke about division of labour that was the basis for different jaathis among sudras.
